The Lands Between

These fabled lands are walked by gods and men, and you are compelled to traverse them in perilous expedition...

The Lands Between is a Dark Fantasy conversion of Into the Odd, with the purpose of running games in a setting of a similar tone and theme as Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

In the spirit of DIY gaming, please feel free to edit, add, or repurpose the rules to fit your table. This document is meant to be the core to bootstrap solutions for whatever comes your way, but naturally, the mileage will vary from table to table.

In general pepper your world full of bosses, and during play: 

> Always opt to reduce the role of rolling to when things are beyond modifiers and it all comes down to fate

> When they plan, try offering a deal or dilemma, or just letting them do it

> Go big with your threats: make damage or temporary effects just happen and keep Saves for strange, permanent effects
